That's the point, neither are you nor your family of politicians. Far closer to classical liberals. Besides, the RINOs made sure that 'conservatism' wasn't important to anyone as much as being in the Beltway power net. Far happier to run among the big money donors than voters. Someone forgot along the way the saying of a conservative 'A nation that cannot control its borders is not a nation.'

#16 The wall I expect is more like the 'wooden wall' that saved Athens, which turned out to be their navy. While their city was burned by the Persians, the defeat of Persian fleet isolated the Persian army which was in turned destroyed. Liberating Athens for rebuilding (and it ascension aka the Golden Age). The purpose of a wall is to keep out or keep in. If that's achieved in effect through multiple means (wall, fence, enforcement, etc) , then most of us will be satisfied. Heck, the Israelis already have a proven system of border control, both above and below ground. It's just a matter of will.
