For many years, Coke did business in Israel but Pepsi did not. Pepsi used this to get a foot in the door all over the Muslim world. Then one day in that Muslim world, the rumor began, that PEPSI stood for Practically Every Penny Supports Israel. Now you can buy Coke in the Muslim world.

Could have been the result of corporate counter intel or just the result of random muslim paranoi
