#2 When I was a youth nearly all schools, businesses, and many homes were heated with coal. Coal powered steam locomotives and nearly all power plants. Somehow we survived. Nobody thought much about the smoke.

I don't think it's about coal or dirty fossil fuel. The investment appears to be moving elsewhere and the power of the gov't is solidly behind the move.
