#6 Grom's suggestion in the 'US must accept UN constraints' thread might be appropriate here too...

#7 He does deserve impeachment and prosecution. Unfortunately at the present, "Party is above right and wrong and law and order. You won't find any Donks who want to impeach one of their own who they view as just doing party work.

#8 Impeachment and prison time are the least that should happen. He should die in PMITA prison.

#10 For a manager to allow himself to be misled by his subordinates, is a sign of lack of management competence.
When that misdirection causes the manager to swear to a false statement, this represents a failure on his part to perform due diligence in verifying the statements of his subordinates.
In ordinary circumstances the subordinates causing the misinformation are summarily fired.
The absence of any such discipline suggests that the manager condones being made a fool of and an actual felon, in this way.
The fact that the lie sworn to supports the political position of the manager, similarly supports the idea that he condones the lies told to him.
The manager can relieve himself of some of the guilt for his behavior at the beginning by swearing that his false statement is offered to the best of his knowledge and outlining the extent of his knowledge and investigation of the matter, rather than swearing it as a fact.
Does all this create an impeachable offence?
I am not sure.
But I believe it appropriate for the manager to be called back to the committee and asked to name those subordinates who misled him.
If he fails to do so, I would consider the behavior impeachable.
Otherwise it would be appropriate for the committee to explore the motivation of those subordinates who allegedly misled him, by questioning them.

#12 Some Conservative requests for tax-exempt status are still being held up. The Teaparty endorsed Trump officially today. This guy even looks evil--impeachment is too good for him. I get perverse pleasure out of the thought of him mingling with the prison population.

#15 Fuck him. Prosecute him.

Yeah that. Do we still have an "opposition party"? Or are they all too busy with working to fund-raise for their re-election to actually WORK for the voters that put them in office?
