#2 I duuno, I just dunno, maybe it wasn't an ASCM? Looks like it got hit by several kitchen sinks. RPG swarm attack? Can't see this sucker floating if hit by a Chinee 802.

#5 Probably an ASCM; the catamaran design is (obviously) different from a mono-hull design. The damage will be different. Appears that most of the damage was internal, which is a hallmark of many ASCMs.

#6 The C-802 supposedly hugs the waterline on final approach.

The video shows the missile arcing up and then travelling downward towards the target, so it is a controlled flight.

#8 We did. That is why it was an MSC-chartered transport vessel, and not a warship.

The INS Hanit, as an aside, was also hit higher-up, and not lower in the hull. That missile (and another which sunk a merchant ship) were under the control of the IRGC and Hesb'allah. I suspect that was also the case in this instance.

Update: Another source.
