#1 John Felix, 26, a known gang member, was taken into custody at around 12:50 a.m. Sunday morning after a 12-hour standoff with police.

Tragic.

This cat only served 4 years on an attempted assassination - out of prison - and the media hides his picture and claim mental issues.

I am curious whether this is a case of institutional hesitation - where the officers hesitated to engage for fear of being smeared with the police brutality brush?

What, you expect our government to take crime seriously? They're moaning about the "cost of imprisonment", as if its a mere *budgeting* issue. Fuck them. Fuck the criminals. Fuck the judges who buy into the treatment of sentencing as mere "financial" issues.
