#7 This topic was widely discussed many years ago. There was one argument against term limits which made some sense that needs to be considered at the same time.

That argument was that without Congress people with long experience it would confer even more power to the unelected bureaucracy. The Bureaucracy would not have any opposition wise to the way it works and able to provide some check (all right stop laughing).

While I don't agree that this is sufficient to NOT put term limits on Congress it does highlight a potentially more important issue which is the rise of the bureaucratic state.

#9 Yep, all senior government official and officers in all branches need to have limits. If I could, I'd also ban any Senator from the office of President. Make your choice, do the job you choose.
