Mook's desperate. He picked the wrong team and realizes it.

Most likely the results of this FBI investigation will drag on past the election. Mook and the Donks know that because some of this info might be highly classified it can't be released. They are trying to blunt the effect.

A nice lawyerly phrasing. The Hildabeast may not have spoken directly with Huma but sure as heck somebody from the campaign has said "WTF, Huma?" directly.
