#2 I have to think Erdogan has some deal with the Russians, likely involving screwing the Kurds, because otherwise it seems a quick route to a full blown war via the Bosphorus.

#3 certainly sounds like a declaration of war by Turkey against Syria. That opens pandora's box for sure.

As mentioned Russia and Egypt and Syria and Iran might not look benevolently on this.
