*It bears repeating that we dodged a bullet of downright Biblical proportions when the voters defied the expectations of Their Betters and voted for Trump. The FIRST time Malificent came up against a political argument - or worse, an international crisis - that didn't go her way, God alone knows what would have happened next.

*For all his horndog nonsense, Bill Clinton is still probably one of the best pure politicians we've seen in the last fifty years. Had Malificient's people listened to him - and had he not been so damaged himself by his past actions - we might be singing a very different tune this morning.

Part of the answer is that people close to Hillary--Huma Abedin, Chelsea Clinton, and Sidney Blumenthal--encouraged her to ask for a recount as a way of lifting her spirits.

#7 She probably doesn't listen to Bill much since he's most likely been lying to her for YEARS about, shall we say, his peccadillos.

After a lifetime of living with a liar, you probably take nothing they would say seriously, and begin to believe that they're actually out to get you somehow. Especially in her 'fragile' mental condition.

I do agree with Mike, Bill was and still is the ultimate pol.

And if the recount fails (as everyone suspects because you'd need to steal 10K votes) she's back to where she was. I suspect at this point Huma and Sid are probably just hoping to give her a stroke so they can be free of her.
