#3 This was always a ridiculous effort. Electors are life-long party loyalists. Imagine the most hardcore Republican faithful true-believer you can, then multiply by 1,000. That's an elector. These people would rather sell their own children to Mongolia to make dog food than elect Hillary Clinton.
