#2 Anyone else remember "Cold Fusion"?

Now that was real science. Person came up with an idea and tested it. Put the tests, equipment, methodology and data out for everyone to see and try to duplicate.
Turns out the Chemist didn't quite get the physics right and his hypothesis was falsified.

Wouldn't it be nice to see that sort of integrity again?
