#1 CIA Directors naturally invite castle intrigue and obviously Woolsey is no exception. Then again sometimes things are exactly as presented. He certainly has knowledge on all things Rooshin but he and his contacts have a shelf life.

#3 Woolsey is an active fellow who is associated with a half dozen non profits, some for-profit advisory groups, some strategic policy consultants, etc.

Unfortunately he has spread himself so far he sometimes doesn't know what he is talking about. He was a big time proponent of cellulose based ethanol. Several hundred million in grants were awarded for cellulose ethanol and we have little to show for it.
