#2 OK kids, here are my calculations:

Gaza has a load of 500 megawatts or 500,000 killowats
500,000 kw/13.75 gal/hr/kw - 36,300 gal/hr of oil

36.300 gal/hr x 6.7 lb/gal/2.2 lb/kg =110663 kg/hr

110,663 kg/hr x 1 tonne/1000 kg = 111 tonnes/hr

Turkey saying that they will deliver 15,000 tonnes to Gaza will supply Gaza for
15000 tonnes/(111 tones/hr*24 hr/day) = 6 days.

#3 I wrote my units wrong in one place. it should 13.76 kw/(gallon*hr). Results are the same. 500 megawatts is a lot of megawatts! The problem in Gaza is that they will not pay for it. So if turkey wants to dump their money down a rathole, have a ball. They will need to send a tanker with 20K tonnes a week to keep up with the electrical demand, just barely.
