#2 If this happened to an FFL the BATF would all but shut him down. But it happened to a cop, so apparently that's just business as usual.

#3 It would be interesting to know more details on the story. Were the vest and H & K left in the trunk? Did the car have any identifying markings such as government plates? Were the FBI agent and car targeted because the perp(s) knew this agent? Where was the car when these items were stolen? This is not the first time this sort of thing has happened. Maybe these items should have had GPS trackers in them--something that worked better than the Fast and Furious tracking devices.
