#2 This has nothing to do with anything. Senate Dems know that a filibuster will result in the nuclear option, and that they won't prevail on a straight vote. So why waste that fight on a nominee they won't beat anyway?

Rumor is that Kennedy will retire in June, so save the big guns for that fight, which will be life or death for the Left.
