#1 the 'Islam is the religion of peace and terrorists misunderstand' speech is seen as a cruel joke in much of the world now but evidently some people can mouth the words while keeping a straight face

Personally, I'm all for removing misconceptions about Islam. I'll believe Islam is "the religion of peace" when Muslims are the people tackling suicide bombers and ratting out the radicals in the mosques.

#5 The first misconception, IMO, is what Islam is not a religion as the term understood in the West - Islam doesn't "render into Caesar".

#7 Islam isn't a "religion" nor do its adherents belong to any single "race". Its an *ideology*, and a poisonous one at that. Its more peaceful ones deserve mockery, and its more violent ones extermination.
