#2 To me the holocaust has a very specific meaning and I doubt that there are enough Jews in South Africa to fuel one.

So who are the prescribed victims; the whites, the ANC, Asians, all of the above? It's not clear to me but if I was betting, based on the recent history, would be all of the above more or less in that order.

#3 Correct Alan, I believe the majority of the Jewish population fled long ago. 'Holocaust' is used in general terms, meaning the categories which you've mentioned. The story of the “Boerejode” might be worth a google for those interested in the Jewish history of the region.

#4 Fascinating, Besoeker -- I had no idea. I have or had cousins in South Africa (as I seem to have everywhere, thanks to the Nazis), but I never heard anything about them being Boers, so they probably weren't.
