#1 Now, if they can just create a robot to go through the permitting process, buy the land and materials, and give it to someone that needs a house, they will have accomplished a social step.
Why is it that the photos I've seen of this particular event created something that would generally be called "people's housing"?

#2 Does it meet code? Don't see much in the way of doors or windows do such things weaken the frame?

#5 It's a tiny house -- one bedroom, I think. 38 m^2 is 409 square feet. It sounds like the building price at $10,134 is about $25/sq.ft., not including the land purchase and site preparation, utilities hook-up, permits, legal fees,and possibly not including plumbing and wiring -- that isn't clear to me from the video. Flat roofs need a lot more care and attention than pitched roofs to prevent leaking, I understand.

The price quoted is $275/m^2 compared to a standard construction cost of $223/m^2. Twenty-four hours is considerably better than the standard construction time of six weeks to six months, so there's a major cost saving there in being able to get in right away...

Still, that the method is proved workable is really, really cool.
