#1 Hahaha...'no fly zones'.
Refugee camps or sanctuary city-states for combatants? New tribal clusters? With the mix of players I don't see this resolving conflict only increasing the friction.

However this may give the US a chance to step back from active engagement to take a breather. Always a good thing.

#2 This whole area reminds me of an earthquake building up to the big one. Lots of little shakes but the main fault is frozen solid as the pressure builds.
