#3 the four Akshay Thakur, Vinay Sharma, Pawan Gupta and Mukesh took their victim to the back of a private bus in New Delhi, raping her and then damaging her internal organs with an iron rod.

She died two weeks later of injuries in a hospital in Singapore, where she was taken for treatment.

Hanging results in no recidivism for these four. The fifth perp was found hanging in his cell. The names sound Indian and the perps are probably Hindu if they have a religion. Were this Pakistain, the perps would probably get off for lack of enough witnesses.

#6 Re #1: Short drop hanging - put them on a stool with the rope around their neck. Then kick the stool out from under them. They strangle rather than die from a broken neck, like i a long drop hanging.

Oh, the victim's family meant hang them SOON. Yeah, I can go with that.
