More feel-good bullsh*t from people who don't have our best interests at heart. As I understand, "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth" was a legal principle that punishment must be proportional to the offense. And it was civil law, not war.

As for "barking dogs...", remember this is Jim "I keep other people awake at night" Mattis. There is a new sheriff in town.
