#4 I reread The Way We Were, Harcourt Angoluting9366, as I have periodically since Fred wrote it. Though I was aware of the assassination of the Afghan gentleman at the time, because several indignant girlfriends had sent me that email petition addressed to the Taliban demanding they treat their wimminfolk according to American standards. I'd got tired of explaining that those few Taliban who could read English and had internet access would be completely uninterested in the opinions of Western infidel females, however scathingly couched, and their non-English speaking, unconnected brethren would care even less.

But what has that to do with either the article or the problem with the link?
