#3 I wonder if Bruce Jenner (Caitlyn) had decided to become a transgender before the Olympics whether he/she would have ever won a gold medal for the decathlon or appeared on Wheaties box? (I don't really wonder--just a rhetorical question.).

Everyone can't be "Hitler". Islam is a morally challenged belief system (to put it mildly). Men and women are different. One can't change one's "gender"--they can only butcher their body. Its not a "clump of cells"--its an unborn child. These are only a few of the things that most people understand almost inherently, yet we now live in a society where voicing such common sense risks a public outcry.

good point but Richards 'became a woman' at age 43; even then a lot of women refused to play against her

if this had happened when Richards was, say 30, it could have destroyed the women's circuit for years
