#5 He's close, resentment and lies ramped up with the lies that disagreeing with President Obama was racist and not disagreements over policies.

But I seem to remember some dislike for President George W Bush, comparing him to Hitler and a chimp and such.

Clinton was respected but never had the resentment and hatred (outside of some militia guys) the same way it was shown towards W.

I think the combo of losing in a statistical tie and then Sept 11 and W's approval going through the roof really melted a few brains.

Also during W's term the Soviet Union's collapse was a decade away and the Communists were no longer lying low.
