#1 The finding, which emerged from a study of nearly 8,000 British twins

Mmm! There is some explanation missing here, as the father of twin is obviously the same age for both twins.

And I'd suggest older siblings facilitates acquiring geeky characteristics.

I was rather pissed off at my best friend from when I was young, publishing 2 books by the age of 22, but he had the advantage of 3 older siblings.

#4 I would have been born 10 yrs earlier if the old man hadn't got delayed in the Pacific.
If WWII in the Pacific hadn't ended the way it did, I wouldn't have been born at all.

#5 Study Ties Dad’s Age to Risk of Autism, Other Mental Disorders in Kids

[AutismSpeaks] Research extends earlier findings on older dads and autism to other psychiatric conditions; increased risk is modest.

The Guardian article is aimed at making Guardian readers of both sexes comfortable with the life choices that led them to delay both marriage and children. However, given that Guardian readers clearly don't value technical thinking -- or they wouldn't believe many of the things they do -- I'm not sure how this helps.
