#1 That should get the Dims a lot of dead Indian votes. Now the leftists need to get "Bemossed", "Sitting Bull", "Pocahontis" registered.

#4 How many generations do people have to be in one place to be 'natives'? If you buy the 'out of Africa' line, then no human is native to the Americas. About the only pre-Indo-Europeans left in the Eurasian land mass in the west are probably the Basques. Goes back to the original question, how many generations? Oh, and then do those migrating from Central and South America get to be treated as non-natives as well? That'll be a fun exercise of interest groups vs interest groups.

#5 Next item to do is change the name of the 'town' to Berkeley East.

#8 Been politically down hill ever since Dave Brubeck's "Jazz at Oberlin" recording in 1953.

#9 BTW, are they going to request the state to change its capital city's name?

#10 Probably from "Columbus" to Leningrad or Stalingrad.

#11 Columbus and the "Columbian Exchange" basically created the modern world -- the Homogenocene. If any Burgers have the time, I highly recommend 1491 and 1493 by Charles C. Mann.

#12  I'm waiting for the calls to ban Mexican food, invented by the Aztecs, originally made with genuine Mexicans!

#13 I'm pretty sure syphilis or some other nasty STD originated in the Caribbean and was brought back to Europe via Columbus. That has to count for something.

Having said that the Italian-Americans should have made Columbus day a drinking holiday (like St Patricks and Cinco De Mayo) and nobody would think of screwing with it.
