#1 The other two teams to not come out for the anthem were the Tennessee Titans and Seattle Seahawks.

On National People's Radio yesterday, Tennessee and Seattle were described as being no-shows for the anthem but there was no mention of the Steelers and Alejandro Villanueva at all. Curious, eh?

#8 The way the Steelers got beat up by the Chicago Bears it would seem they were distracted by something. I'm guessing they had political bull crap on their minds instead of football. Their fans got cheated.

#11 The widespreade levels of disrespect and minority racism against all things "white" and traditional in American culture is having an effect, just not the one they anticipate. Another round of calls for conversation really are leftspeak for more concessions (programs, money, power). What is actually happening is that sides are forming and minds are closing. Instead of decreasing the racial/political divide they have deepened it.

#18 Not all of NASCAR is of the same mind as Dale, Jr.

Former NASCAR driver and current team owner Richard Petty said he would fire anyone on his team who protested. “Anybody that don’t stand up for the anthem oughta be out of the country. Period,” he said. “What got ’em where they’re at? The United States.”

Personally, I'd be more impressed with the 'protests' if all these highly-paid children were doing something that actually made a difference rather than yelling "Hey, look at me!". Start a charter school. Mentor some kids. Be a father - either to your own kids or a surrogate for someone else's. If you really care about 'oppressed minorities', put some skin in the game.
