#2 Gonna be a cold and wet winter in CO this year. Summer never really got hot and stayed unusually wet well into July.

Usually get a couple nasty winters followed by a few dry and warm ones every 12 years or so.

#6 I don't recall the phrase - "Ski Ohio".

The resorts attract local day trippers with short vertical drop runs (200-300'), Procopius2k. See here. Here in Cincinnati we generally took the kids an hour away to a similar resort in the hils of Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

#7 Celebrating the end of wildfire season?

Yup. They got their asses kicked, had some casualties, but held the line as best as they could. Fantastic work.

In addition to blizzard things, mud-slides and loss of livestock grazing are issues, but at least they can now breath while getting things sorted out.

#8 I'm confused - is this proof of global warming, global cooling, or 'climate change'?

#16 I don't recall the phrase - "Ski Ohio".

We used to ski down Mayfield Road to Euclid Avenue on homemade skis. Euclid Tavern was at the bottom of the run. Listened to Robert Jr. Lockwood there many times.
