#1 Snow around the Great Lakes in winter is a clear sign of global warming.

Yes, it has to get colder in order to snow, silly, but it is also getting warmer at the same time. Because of Science and other reasons. And while all this is confusing to the Great Unwashed, we have scientists working on the problem. And computers. Top computers.

#4 tw, Google Thanksgiving Storm 1956. That was a storm that deposited 22-33 inches of snow fro Buffalo to Erie, PA, my home town.

If you get a foot of snow where you live, Buffalo will probably have a lot more.

Of course, that was before global warming.

#6 Google Thanksgiving Storm 1956

It looks like that was a bad one, Rambler, and covered quite a bit of territory. My perspective is the blizzards of 1977 and '78 in Buffalo. But neither of those was a Thanksgiving storm, and the '78 storm may be bigger in my memory than it was objectively, as a quick search yielded no links.

#7 Try Watertown NY on the east end of Ontario for lake effect snow. They put the 10th Mountain Division there. At least they got the right equipment.
