#4 The sub had a crew of three, all arrested of course.

"Self Propelled" means it can move itself, like self propelled lawn mower and the like.

In this case I suspect the Coast Guard was saying the submarine had its own propulsion system as opposed to being towed underwater by a surface boat.

#5 Heard they captured one of these a couple years back. Showed photos and that one was 'self-propelled', too.

Apparently they work, so I'd expect there's quite a few out there.

#6 The mules/drivers will flood them upon discovery and expect USCG rescue...perhaps that should be revisited
