#2 I'm pretty sure alot of that military equipment they are talking about losing ( as in it was out of their pocket) was left or given to the by the US.

#3 It's still a loss. They'll now have to replace that equipment. That will cost billions, and the replacements will likely be inferior because they don't have the cash to buy the good stuff, which was what was left to them.
