#1 Congress will do nothing with this, less than nothing actually. The plaintiff (herself an attorney) should seek a legal remedy by filing a suite against both the despicable Lee and the airline.

#2 She's on the transportation committee, of course she's going to get the seat you ninny. It's all about power. The problem for the airline is that today the average citizen has been empowered by the internet to do similar damage.

#3 Hot Air is sure earning its name with this article. I do not like Jackson-Lee at all but I don't see a seat upgrade to have 'significant cash value' or to be a 'considerable amount of dough'. Overstating things just a wee bit too much, methinks.

#4 A voucher for another flight on United Airlines would not do much to satisfy me either. That'd only mean I'd have to endure several more hours of misery on another one of their cramped, overbooked airplanes.
