At least Rumsfield followed through and changed strategy albeit late.

The Bush Admin was prepping for the Messiah to come and save them while Bob McNamara was running a meat grinder with no stabilization of unit integrity.

At all points, the democrats not only tried to make US lose but were giddy when we did.

Point is, whatever your plans, leave democrats out of it because they are useless to all war fighting in the end.

Just kidding. Have many democrats advise you, but just don't trust their strategy ever because they have none.

North Korea, Cuba, Angola, Vietnam, North Korea a second time..... all useful communist proxy efforts. Yes, most here have seen at least a few of these play out.

Kissinger knows any preemptive strike against the NORKS will produce a Chinese response.... and there goes his Walmart, Target, import-export financial empire. FRA people tend to think in terms of not disrupting fixed incomes. Henry is probably no different.

Addendum, if you can't win the war 100% before the next Presidential election you might want to rethink entirely as they will sabotage and undo whatever good works you might complete.

This makes us almost isolationist but there isn't much choice when one party is willing to trash foreign policy gains in exchange for political gains.

North Korea is classic, Classic Imperialist China diplomacy where you make 'barbarians fight barbarians'.
