#1 They should have applied by calling themselves 'Hipster Pansies for Palestine', then change the name back once they got IRS approval. Naturally, no one got punished, demoted or fired over this.

#4 Maybe not - they lost their 501(c)(3) status seven years ago. They may have gotten it back by filing under a different name, though.
