#1 The lack of consistency of funding is what makes this all so expensive.

I am no fan of this give every Prez a trillion dollars to grease the palms of whatever.

Fiscal responsibility comes later but for now if you do this bullshit thing, I want you all (And the States as well) A Five Year Warrantee on all projects here-forth.

Maybe if the political winds led you to shitty contractors, you would not have to pay so much for infrastructure.

#2 How about a bill forcing states to pay to maintain our investment. Get all this BS back into the state houses.
The idiot mouthbreathers in DC are not worth this amount of play.

Get government back at home again.

#3 Addendum: "Maybe if the political winds led you to shitty contractors, you would not have to pay so much for infrastructure."

Should read : Maybe if the political winds led you to shitty contractors before, Holding them accountable would you to ensure (Or Insure) you would not have to pay so much for infrastructure.

#4 I believe in one big piece of red tape. The funds have got to go to infrastructure, not lost in states' magic money pools of fungible redirection.

#5 Oh boy.
More state run toll roads.

#6 Oh boy.
More state run toll roads.

As planned, life spans and human footprints in rural areas continue to decline. Travel and migration btwn competing urban collectives however, must be drastically reduced or at least restricted.

The voters, I fear they doth move around freely in too much excess.

#7 I'm afraid any good will towards infrastructure was blown with the 2 year budget the President just signed. I have no interest in continued borrowing from my grand children

#8 Trump is a real estate subsidy seeker this is the easiest way to stealthily subsidize RE values nearby spending.

#10 I get concerns. Feel the same way about the debt. But a lot needs to be repaired. And it's better to have a contractor overlooking the program rather than a Chicago Mullah conman.

#11 I agree with newc, find a way to encourage states to fix their own infrastructure. The Feds can pay for the Interstate highway system.
