#5 I've been reading Scott Johnson's post on PowerLine, and I doubt that most of the voters know anything about this. The local paper, the Star Tribune, has studiously avoided almost any mention of the controversies. Rep. Omar has denied, denied, denied any wrongdoing, saying that questions about her personal life are inappropriate.

#7 Remember that the "national government" of Somalia has actual control of a few blocks in Mogadishu, and any records the purportedly have or any documents she produced about her real name and family as not worth the toilet paper they are written on. DNA should already exist, just match it with her claimed birth family and first "husband" to get the truth. This horrible person needs to be found out and removed from government!

#9 There was a 60 Minutes documentary many years ago where they found about 80% (from memory) of the claimed Somali family members for immigration were unrelated. The Somalis approved for immigration were selling family chain migration visas to rich Somalis. "Ilhan Omar" (not her real name) is one of them.
