#1 There were videos posted shortly after 1/6, one by a Japanese female reporter, and one by someone with a British accent which showed such people attacking the capital. These were apparently confiscated by corrupt government officials.

That is surprising. Rosenstein always appeared to be a Never-Trumper. The MSM must not have had a interest in reporting this significant overlooked fact. It might have made a difference.
