Americans brace for steep winter heating bills as energy costs soar

Across the U.S., families are looking to the winter with dread as energy costs soar and fuel supplies tighten.

The Department of Energy is projecting sharp price increases for home heating compared with last winter and some worry whether heating assistance programs will be able to make up the difference for struggling families. The situation is even bleaker in Europe, with Russia's continued curtailment of natural gas pushing prices upward and causing painful shortages.

In Maine, Aaron Raymo saw the writing on the wall and began stocking up on heating oil in 5-gallon increments over the summer as costs crept upward. He filled a container with heating oil as he could afford it, usually on paydays, and used a heating assistance program to top off his 275-gallon oil tank with the arrival of colder weather.

His family is trying to avoid being forced into a difficult decision — choosing between food or heating their home.

The European public does. Protests all over Europe now. The whores at the NY Times can’t suppress the truth any longer — a majority of the people are sick and tired of the elites’ pointless war for a shithole country. NYT:

“…many across Europe blame the war for the astronomical costs. [The Italian woman interviewed by NYT] was no fan of Russia, she said, but the time had long passed for an end to military support for Ukraine and a shift to diplomatic negotiations for peace. She said more and more people she knew, in need of economic relief, were losing their patience, too.

“All they want is arms, arms, arms,” she said of Ukraine. “I’m sick and tired of them.”

It is a sentiment — impatience, even inchoate anger, at the inflation fueled by the war — that transcends the shoppers in Rome’s piazzas and can be found among the weekly protests in Germany or in the swelling ranks of French strikers. And it has leaders nervous.

OK, if Biden got to the White House on his own steam and he is actually the guy who is calling the shots, that's pretty damn scary.

But if he's a puppet that's scary too because the person or committee pulling his strings is dishonest by the mere fact that they won't show themselves. That's scary too. If they are that dishonest we must wonder what else they aren't telling us or what outright lies they are relaying to us via the mainstream media. Scary as hell.
