#1 yesterday's May 9 Victory Parade in Moscow was subdued

no flyover by high speed aircraft

only 1 tank (and it was a 70 year old T-34)

"I was told by someone in Europe that this sole tank was purchased from Laos.

Hyperbole? Bovine egesta? Pravda?"

I suspect there's a play on symbolism here with the solitary tank.

"European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has arrived in Kiev"

Thick as thieves.

#3 There is a good chance DooDahMan. Russia purchased 30 T-34s from Laos a few years ago to spiff up monuments and parade duties.

The symbolism of the lone T-34 is "Oh Shit! What have we got ourselves into?" or "The government is doing its duty by sending all they have to support the front."
