#2 What I want to know is why she still parades around with a last name honoring not one but two white oppressors, Andrew Jackson and Robert E. Lee. She should appoint a "search committee" to help her find an "authentic" name. I'ma thinking Shaun King (Talcum X), Rachel Dolezal (Nkechi Amare Diallo) and Elizabeth Warren (Fauxahontas).

#6 A bit of background: The Mayor's office in Houston is basically non functional. The current mayor, Sylvester Turner, is a civil rights lawyer who chased the job like a dog chases a car. Until he caught it. He's decided to go back to his old job, but nobody wants to be mayor.
Sheila's at her sell by date in congress, and her husband is vice something-or-other at the University of Houston.
So it's basically a retirement job.
