Jewish Community Center

The SUV struck two people in front of the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco on California Street, a few blocks from where the rampage ended. [ also very close also Temple Emanu-El and Di-Fi house who's property abuts the Temple]

Blood covered the sidewalk in front of the center's gift store entrance, and 50 feet farther down the sidewalk lay a mangled bicycle.

Security cameras in front of the center captured images of the incident, which happened at 1:12 p.m., according to Aaron Rosenthal, spokesman for the community center.

#9 gromgoru, I'm not saying move along. I'm just saying the evidence is suggestive that this one really might have been the result of obvious mental illness.

I'll go back to lgf and allahpundit saying that some allegations of photoshopping don't hold up to scrutiny. Doesn't mean that the MSM isn't complicit up to its ears in faked pics, nor that we should close our eyes to it. But if it ain't faked it ain't faked.

And if the info we have suggests this guy might have hit over a dozen people and killed at least one because he's psychotic rather than a jihadi, we should be willing to acknowledge that.

#10 The frustration on the other side is that it would be nice if the MSM and the government would acknowledge that the wacko was motivated by jihadi impulses if that is the case. But unless an airliner is involved these things are hushed up as quickly as possible by all ionvolved. Credibility is now so shredded the default setting is now cover-up.

Just some student upset because his team didn't win? Seems to me, a suicide bomb vest fits the terrorist description, but what do I know? I only watch and read the news.

#13 I agree with LOTP on this one. The fact that he ended up hitting someone in front of the JCC doesn't really say much if you know the neighborhood and the way the streets go. I used to work out there and lived around the corner.

At this point I don't see that this was a pre-planned anti-Jew act of terror. It is much more random than the guy in Seattle. That was clearly terror. But this guy hit someone in Fremont first then drove over to the city. Maybe he hit the person in Fremont by accident, totally freaked out and then went nuts. I just think this one has some ambiguity based on what I know now.

lotp, while I totally understand your concern regarding this suspect's mental health and whatever umbrage you take at the word "psychosis" being bandied about, I'm, hoping you might agree that Islam does inculcate a definite symptomology that strongly resembles mental illness.

Disregarding terrorism, for the moment (difficult, I know), let's just focus solely on the institutionalized abuse of women in Arab culture. This sort of almost pathological misogeny signifies a fundamental warping of character and morality that would recommend itself for clinical therapy or confinement in most Western societies. Much of the everyday treatment Arab women receive would qualify their mates for legal charges of spousal abuse or, at least, court-ordered counseling.

Further examination of just how stagnant overall Arab societies have remained for almost a solid millennia only provides further proof of how paralysing Islamic doctrine is to an individual's personal, emotional and spiritual growth. The added dimension of terrorism with its death obsession and callous disregard for innocent human life is damning confirmation of the above indicators' veracity.

Bereft of any congenital excuse or alibi, Islam rapidly assumes the nature of a pathological meme. The overall impact of its interaction with progressive society resembles nothing more than a millstone around our collective neck. Brief examination of the massive security expenditures, necessary military interventions, avoidable epidemics, constant abuse of human rights and famines that result from the ideological excercise of Islam all prove it to be little more than a parasite on enlightened cultures.

From all appearances, once a person is infected with this virulent meme, the only affordable cure is killing them before they murder people or contribute thereto, be it overtly or covertly.

Credibility is now so shredded the default setting is now cover-up.

I'll await the facts, but the evidence (other than self-serving comments from th efamily) shows a willful act against western and Joooooish interests. I'll also ask people not to forget how that, even if this man suffers from mental illness, being exposed to the intensely hateful messages of Islam could easily have exacerbated his condition to where murder became an option.

Only rarely are the voices heard by schizophrenics benign in nature. More often they are admonitory, abusive or otherwise compelling, even being perceived as divine in origin. After being inundated with Islam's typical drivel it is more than easy to imagine how whatever voices he heard began exhorting this individual to kill Jews and infidels.

I maintain that even in the presence of mental illness, Islam is still not off of the hook.
