#4 Iraq hangs 27 on terrorism charges

cat. garden variety hanging in Iraq. [not including the Uday specials etc.]

traditionally the Iraqis never practiced the 'long drop' technique on their condemned prisoners. [like we used to on a regular basis]

Historically they either lifted the condemned up off the ground by the neck 'suspension hanging' or had an executioner hold on to the condemned during the lift thus 'helping the rope' stretch the neck.
