#1 I hate to say it, but I envision a war between Indonesia and a consortium of Australia, the Philippines, India, and the US in the not-too-distant future, primarily about transit rights of ships through the Straits of Malacca. Muslim extremism is just too strong in Indoensia. The war will take place within the next ten years. Indonesia will lose, and be forced to give up territory, including the western half of the island of Timor, West Papua, and the portions of Borneo controlled by Indonesia. It may also lose some of the islands around Singapore and several other small pieces of territory. That won't stop anything, but it will certainly slow it down.
