No, Dr. Steve, President Obama got the award for trying. Actually, given that the deadline was two weeks after he took office, he was given it for planning on trying. On the other hand, this sure spiked the nominations of Hamas, Hizb'allah, President Ahmadinejad, and Mr. Osama bin Laden, all of whom were nominated for attempting to unite the world under a peaceful world government.

Gorbie lost his grip on the USSR.

Gore lost a presidential election then lost his mind.

Carter lost Iran then lost a second term in the White House.

Afafat lost every war he ever fought, established PA then died of some mysterious ailment that looked a lot like AIDS.

ElBaradei never stopped anybody from proliferating anything.

Le Duc Tho, the only clear winner in the group, won a war against the USA and refused to accept the Nobel Peace Prize.
