The joint grouping of Russian troops (forces) in the areas of the Special Military Operation from 12:00 on January 6 to 24:00 on January 7 observed the declared ceasefire along the entire line of contact.

During the entire period of the ceasefire, Ukrainian troops continued to conduct intensive shelling of settlements and Russian positions.

In the Kupyansk and Krasno-Limansk directions, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out 78 artillery and mortar attacks.

On the Soledar, Avdeevsky and Maryinsky directions, the enemy used large-caliber artillery to conduct shelling 155 times.

Over 160 large-caliber projectiles and 20 multiple rocket launchers were fired by Ukrainian troops into residential areas of the city of Donetsk.

In the Zaporozhye region, artillery fire was opened by the enemy 89 times.

Ukrainian artillery was used 55 times in the Kherson and Krivoy Rog directions.

The return fire of the Russian troops suppressed the Ukrainian artillery, from which the shelling of settlements was carried out.

After the end of the ceasefire regime in the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops inflicted fire damage on accumulations of manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Novoselovskoye in the Luhansk People's Republic and Sinkovka in the Kharkiv region. More than 30 Ukrainian servicemen, an infantry fighting vehicle, an armored personnel carrier and two vehicles were destroyed.

In addition, two enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups were destroyed in the areas of the settlements of Kotlyarovka in the Kharkov region and Novoselovskoye in the Luhansk People's Republic.

In the Krasno-Limansky direction, after the end of the ceasefire, Russian units launched artillery strikes on two assault groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Chervonaya Dibrova of the Lugansk People's Republic and Serebryanka of the Donetsk People's Republic, as well as accumulations of enemy manpower and equipment in the areas of the settlements of Makeevka and Stelmakhivka Lugansk People's Republic.

As a result of the strikes, more than 50 Ukrainian servicemen, three armored combat vehicles, a pickup truck and a car were destroyed. In addition, sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed in the areas of the settlements of Artemovka and Serebryanka.

In the Donetsk direction, Russian artillery strikes thwarted an attempt by the enemy, with forces up to a company of the 54th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, to counterattack the positions of Russian troops in the direction of the settlement of Spornoe of the Donetsk People's Republic. Destroyed up to 70 Ukrainian servicemen, two armored combat vehicles and a pickup truck.

In the South-Donetsk direction in the area of ​​​​the settlements of Novomikhailovka, Vladimirovka, Pavlovka and Neskuchnoye of the Donetsk People's Republic, the actions of sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were stopped. More than 40 Ukrainian servicemen, an armored personnel carrier and three vehicles were destroyed.

Operational-tactical and army aviation, missile troops and artillery strikes hit the warehouses of rocket and artillery weapons and ammunition of the 95th airborne assault and 60th mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Krasny Liman and Konstantinovka of the Donetsk People's Republic, as well as 84 artillery units on firing positions, manpower and military equipment in 117 districts.

During the counterbattery fight, artillery crews of the howitzer battery of the 59th Motorized Infantry Brigade and 122mm BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket systems were defeated at firing positions in the areas of the settlements of Karlovka and Konstantinovka of the Donetsk People's Republic.

Fighter aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down five aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force in a day.

A Ukrainian Su-27 fighter jet was shot down near the village of Lozovoe, Kharkiv region.

A Su-24 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force was shot down near the village of Izium in the Kharkiv region.

Two Ukrainian Su-25 aircraft were shot down in the areas of settlements Nikolaypolye and Novy Donbass.

A Ukrainian MiG-29 aircraft was shot down near the village of Veseleye in the Donetsk People's Republic.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, the following have been destroyed: 365 aircraft, 199 helicopters, 2,848 unmanned aerial vehicles, 400 anti-aircraft missile systems, 7,449 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 972 combat vehicles of multiple launch rocket systems, 3,787 field artillery guns and mortars, as well as 7,965 units of special military vehicles.

In response to the criminal strike of the Kyiv regime in the first minutes of January 2023, a retaliation operation was carried out by the command of the United Group of Russian Forces at the point of temporary deployment of Russian military personnel in the settlement of Makeevka in the Donetsk People's Republic.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian intelligence facilities have uncovered and reliably confirmed through several independent channels the points of temporary deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the city of Kramatorsk.

There were more than 700 Ukrainian servicemen in hostel No. 28 and more than 600 Ukrainian servicemen in hostel No. 47.

As a result of a massive missile attack on these points of temporary deployment of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, more than 600 Ukrainian servicemen were killed.
