Peace Negotiators Hold 3rd Meeting Following Talks Stalemate
Not that any of this matters, but NATO and America want it so they go through the motions.
[ToloNews] The Afghan Republic and the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
negotiators held their third meeting on Thursday evening after over a month-long deadlock in the talks with the main focus on the agenda of the negotiators, officials confirmed.

The meeting was held in working group level that is aimed at finalizing the agenda of the negotiations.

NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis....
ambassadors in the meeting reiterated the alliance's longstanding support to ANDSF, peace, ceasefire, protection of gains and democracy in Afghanistan, the statement said.

Arabia
US president @JoeBiden stressed to @KingSalman ''rules are changing'' and that he's going to announce significant changes to bilateral relations
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]
And he (or the team, anyway) have begun by punishing certain parties for the murder of that paid Qatari agent, Jamal Khashoggi:
US slaps sanctions on elite Saudi unit over Khashoggi murder
[AlAhram] The United States on Friday imposed sanctions on an elite Saudi unit as well as a former intelligence official over their role in the killing of dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

The Treasury Department said it would block assets and criminalize transactions with the Rapid Intervention Force, which a declassified intelligence report said was answerable to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, as well as former intelligence official Ahmad Hassan Mohammed al-Asiri.

Blinken: US to ban visas over dissident threats, bars 76 Saudis
[AlAhram] The United States will ban entry of foreigners who threaten dissidents and will immediately restrict 76 Saudis over Jamal Khashoggi's brutal murder, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Friday.

"We have made absolutely clear that extraterritorial threats and assaults by Saudi Arabia against activists, dissidents and journalists must end. They will not be tolerated by the United States," Blinken said in a statement.

#3  Beginning in 1993 Khasshoggi served as an apologist for the Al Qaeda. His interview with Bin Laden left no question as to where his allegiance was when it came to Saudi Arabia. Many observers actually wondered why it took Riyadh so long to kill him.

These people are cretins. Even Carter recognized the importance of fracking (and deserves some credit for the shale revolution).

But Biden and his fellow sh!theads not only are going to invite Iran to dominate the entire Gulf, they're trying to end fracking too. Unbelievable stupidity. Borders on treason

India-Pakistan
NIA charges 9 Al-Qaeda operatives from Bengal, Kerala who were planning attacks on ‘kafirs’
[OneIndia] The National Investigation Agency has filed a chargesheet against 11 members of the al-Qaeda module from West Bengal and Kerala.

The case was registered by the NIA based on information about an Al Qaeda inspired module operating in the states of West Bengal and Kerala under the leadership of Murshid Hasan.

The members of this module were in the advanced stage of a conspiracy to execute terrorist attacks in different parts of the country. In well synchronised raids conducted on last year in Kerala and Bengal, nine Lions of Islam were arrested. Subsequently two more operatives were arrested from West Bengal.

Investigation revealed that Murshid Hasan was in touch with Al Qaeda handlers based in Pakistain and Bangladesh and had received instructions along with radical propaganda material through encrypted social media platforms from them.

Murshid Hasan along with his other associates conspired to radicalise and recruit more individuals into the Al Qaeda. They disseminated radical material through social media and encrypted chat platforms with an intention to radicalise and recruit others for establishing an Islamic State

by waging violent mostly peaceful jihad in India.

Investigation also revealed that the group members planned to attack individuals whom they consider Kafirs. The group members had conducted a series of conspiratorial meetings for raising funds for the purchase of arms and ammunitions/kabooms, radicalising and recruiting more members and charting out the future course of action including establishing a Markaz ( a training centre for providing religious and weapons training to new recruits).

The accused persons were also in active communication with an arms dealer through their foreign based handlers and were planning to receive a consignment of sophisticated arms and ammunitions in New Delhi.

However,
a hangover is the wrath of grapes...
their nefarious plans were obviated by their timely arrest by NIA. The accused persons were planning to attack among others, an India based Bangladeshi blogger for his views expressed on social media.

After Syria air strikes, Iraq military denies exchanging information with US
[AlAhram] The Iraqi military on Friday denied exchanging information with the United States regarding targeting certain locations inside Syria, the state news agency reported, after Washington launched air strikes against Iran-backed militias.

The military said that Iraq's cooperation with the U.S.-led coalition was limited to fighting Islamic State

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Iran's Footprint in Eastern Syria
[AnNahar] Syria's complex battle ground includes tens of thousands of fighters from several nationalities trained and armed by regime ally Iran, a deployment that has worried the United States and Israel.

Around 15,000 proxy fighters from Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistain are deployed in Deir Ezzor, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor.
The eastern province of Deir Ezzor near the frontier with Iraq is a key hub for Iran's footmen, including Iraqi militia fighters, at least 22 of whom were killed in a U.S. strike there Thursday according to a war monitor.

With these fighters coming under greater scrutiny following the latest U.S. attack, AFP takes a look at the patchwork of Iran-backed forces stationed in the mostly non-existent border region between Syria and Iraq.
