[NYP] A Kansas man was charged with assaulting an American Airlines flight attendant after ripping off his shirt, throwing the employee to the ground and dragging them up the aisle, prosecutors said.
Julius Jordan Priester, 24, of Wichita, was aboard a May 27 flight from Bradley International Airport, in Connecticut, when chaos erupted at about 10 p.m.
"Thirty minutes to an hour into the flight, Priester stood up, began to take off his shirt, then ran to the back of the plane yelling ’Help me,’" said United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut David Sullivan.
[NBC] Marine Sgt. Maj. Jody Armentrout was sitting at an exit row seat on Saturday's All Nippon Airways Flight 114 traveling from Tokyo to Houston when he noticed a man was acting strangely.
Armentrout, a sergeant major who has served in the Marines for over 20 years and is based in Japan, has been trained to be vigilant. He said he saw the man take his backpack to one of the bathrooms, then come out and go to another bathroom and then, another bathroom.
"He came out of that one and began pacing up and down the aisle, so that just threw my radar on," Armentrout, 50, said in a phone interview.
But then, Armentrout said, he saw the man eyeing up the emergency exit right next to him. Armentrout said he stood up, putting himself between the man and the exit door.
That's when the man turned around, ran through the plane's galley and darted to the exit door on the opposite side, Armentrout said. He knew he had seconds to act.
"He grabbed a strap around the door, pulled it off, and about that time is when I took him and slammed him, put him on the ground," Armentrout said. "And then there was an older gentleman sitting on that side that woke up, and he got up and kind of helped me."
Armentrout said flight attendants handed him zip ties, which he placed around the man's wrists and used to secure him to a seat. It was announced that the plane would be diverted to Seattle as a result of the incident, and Armentrout said he sat next to the man until they landed at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
"His eyes — you could definitely tell there was something going on," Armentrout said.

I think it was Mark Steyn, shortly after 9-11, who said something to the effect that; "lean young men in tight haircuts, burly businessmen and arthritic grannies" all want a piece of the next one.

[NYPost] An Arkansas kindergarten graduation descended into madness when a large brawl broke out between parents, forcing school officials to scold the “unacceptable” behavior displayed in front of the little tykes.
Several adults threw punches at each other in the hallway of West Memphis’ Faulk Elementary on Wednesday as the frightened screams of nearby children filled the crowded corridor.
Multiple men and women were in the center of the melee, plowing through the school as other parents rushed to get their children away from the danger, according to video obtained by WREG. Kids could also be heard crying “stop” in the video.
[FOX] Private military contractor Erik Prince, the former Navy SEAL and founder of Blackwater Worldwide, is working with the Haitian government to repel the gangs terrorizing the Caribbean nation.
Prince's role will be to advise the Haitian government and its undermanned and underequipped police force on how to take on the street gangs amid record levels of violence in which thousands of people have been killed, injured and abducted.
"That goes beyond just the security question and extends to restoring essential government services, but obviously everything is founded on restoring security," the source said.
Armed groups have taken over prisons, hospitals and swaths of territory, forcing people to flee their homes. In April 2024, thousands fled the capital of Port-au-Prince for rural regions because of escalating gang violence there.
The Pentagon deferred questions by Fox News Digital to the Haitian government, which has also been contacted by Fox News Digital.
Fox News Digital also reached out to Prince. While Blackwater no longer exists, Prince owns various private military entities, the New York Times reported.
[GEO.TV] China has launched a new space probe to collect samples from an asteroid and bring them back to Earth for study, according to the state news agency Xinhua.
This is the country's first mission of this kind.
Beijing has ploughed billions of pounds into its space programme in recent years in an effort to achieve what President Xi Jinping describes as the country's "space dream".
It has built a space station orbiting the Earth and plans to run a crewed mission to the Moon this decade ahead of establishing a permanent base there.
A Long March-3B rocket carrying the Tianwen-2 probe blasted off from the Xichang launch site in southwestern Sichuan province "in the early hours of Thursday", Xinhua said.
"Shan Zhongde, head of the China National Space Administration, stated that the Tianwen-2 mission represents a significant step in China's new journey of interplanetary exploration," the news agency reported.
Tianwen-2 is tasked with collecting samples from the near-Earth asteroid 2016HO3, and exploring the comet 311P, according to the country's space agency.
Discovered by scientists in Hawaii in 2016, the asteroid is roughly 40 to 100 metres (130—330 feet) in diameter and orbits relatively close to Earth.
It is a "living fossil" consisting of ancient materials that can help scientists understand how the early solar system formed, Xinhua reported this week.
The comet, meanwhile, orbits between Mars and Jupiter and is alluring to researchers because it exhibits some features more commonly associated with asteroids.
The Tianwen-2 mission is expected to last around a decade.
China's space programme is the third to put humans in orbit — after the United States and the Soviet Union — and has also landed robotic rovers on Mars and the Moon.

[Hot Air] King Charles III began his Throne Speech in Canada, which was intended to be a rebuke of Donald Trump's push to make Canada the 51st state (a supremely bad idea, by the way, although it almost certainly is a troll), began with a land acknowledgment, which amounts to saying that Great Britain stole Canada away from its legitimate possessors.
While Canada is a sovereign country, you may not know that it remains a constitutional monarchy and Bonnie King Charlie is its nominal Sovereign. He became so on the death of his mother and was proclaimed King two days after. He is already featured on their currency, as was Elizabeth. While his image is not yet featured on all their bills, that is in the work
So when he begins his speech from the throne with an acknowledgment that his ancestors stole the land, one has to wonder what moral standing he or other Canadians have to complain that somebody else wants to return the favor. Unless he is proposing returning Canada to the indigenous tribes who occupied the territory prior to the French and Canadians stealing it, he should at least understand the right of conquest.
Ask the Irish and Welsh about that. I'm pretty sure that the Malvinas came into British hands by means other than invitation, and that they wouldn't remain in British hands as the Falkland Islands without Ronald Reagan giving Queen Elizabeth II's government a hand.
Land acknowledgments are supremely stupid for anybody to do. King Charles isn't suggesting that Canada be returned to the tribes; nor, for that matter, that the descendants of William the Conqueror and his followers should leave England and return all that stolen land and power to the original inhabitants, whoever they are. The Romanized Britons? Perhaps the Celts? Maybe, instead of the Church of England, the Druids should be installed in Canterbury.
The ideology, though, has consequences. Here in Minnesota, the state government keeps giving more land and power back to the tribes. In Canada, the same process is happening, as the government keeps delegitimizing Canadian's right to rule themselves.

King Charles might want to 1st think about returning England to the Anglo-Saxons. Given, it seems to be now invaded and controlled by Middle Eastern Muslims.

Just installing Druids in Cardiff would be a good start. They are broadcasting the "Call to Prayer" 5 times a day there. The Welsh are the best remnants of the traditional Britons as well as being the center of Druidic power in Britannia before those Roman illegals arrived in lorica segmentata to cut down all the Groves!

CONSTITUTION ACT 1867
An Act for the Union of Canada, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick, and the Government thereof; and for Purposes connected therewith
(29th March 1867)
WHEREAS the Provinces of Canada, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick have expressed their Desire to be federally united into One Dominion under the Crown of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, with a Constitution similar in Principle to that of the United Kingdom:
And whereas such a Union would conduce to the Welfare of the Provinces and promote the Interests of the British Empire....
[PJ Media] A federal appeals court has overruled an activist decision from earlier this week to allow President Donald Trump’s tariffs to stay in place — at least for now.
Only yesterday, the U.S. Court of International Trade ruled unanimously that Donald Trump’s tariffs on dozens of countries had to be lifted. But that ruling has already been negated by a new court decision, fortunately. Isn’t it amazing how Trump’s policies aimed at benefiting America are constantly being attacked by judges who didn’t give a hoot when the Biden administration repeatedly and egregiously violated the Constitution and other laws? At least this new decision makes sense.
The Trump White House said in comments to Fox Business that the new ruling is definitely a win for Americans. "The Federal Circuit Court’s administrative stay on the Court of International Trade’s ruling is a positive development for America’s industries and workers," stated White House spokesperson Kush Desai.
He added, "The Trump administration remains committed to addressing our country’s national emergencies of drug trafficking and historic trade deficits with every legal authority conferred to the President in the Constitution and by Congress. Regardless of the developments of this litigation, the President will continue to use all tools at his disposal to advance trade policy that works for all Americans."
[KhaamaPress] US plans to revoke visas of Chinese students linked to the Communist Party or sensitive fields, says Marco Rubio ...The diminutive 13-year-old Republican U.S. Senator from Florida, Secretary of State in the second Trump administration... amid security concerns.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced a new initiative to revoke visas of certain Chinese students studying in the United States. The move specifically targets students engaged in sensitive scientific fields or those linked to Chinese Communist Party-affiliated institutions.
Rubio stated on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, May 29 that the new process will be coordinated with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. He emphasized that visa issuance criteria will undergo a comprehensive review to implement stricter controls on applicants from China and Hong Kong residents.
Chinese students have historically made up a significant portion of the international student population in the U.S. In 2019, approximately 370,000 Chinese students were enrolled in American universities; however, that number declined to around 277,000 by 2024.
This new U.S. policy follows a series of stringent immigration measures initiated during the Trump administration. Those earlier policies imposed visa restrictions on foreign students, particularly from China, and even suspended some visa interview processes.
In recent years, U.S.-China relations have been marked by tensions over trade, technology, and national security. American agencies have frequently expressed concerns about Chinese students’ involvement in sensitive research projects, prompting some universities to limit admissions of Chinese nationals.
These developments align with the broader U.S. strategy to enhance domestic security measures and counter what officials describe as "foreign influence" in higher education. The goal is to protect critical technologies and intellectual property from potential exploitation.
The tightening of visa policies could further impact the presence of Chinese students in the U.S., potentially reshaping academic and research collaboration between the two countries. Both governments continue to balance security concerns with the benefits of educational exchange.
[FoxNews] The graduation rate of the program is just 38.6% and costs as much as $155,600 per student
The Department of Labor is suspending operations of Job Corps centers across the nation after revelations that the program, which costs taxpayers more than $1.7 billion per year, is no longer achieving its intended outcomes and is putting students in danger.
Job Corps was originally created to help young adults build a pathway to a better life through education and community. But Trump administration officials told Fox News Digital that an "in-depth fiscal analysis and a startling number of serious incident reports reveal the program is not helping students achieve intended outcomes or keeping them safe."
The decision to suspend the program comes after the Job Corps transparency report was compiled and released in April, finding that the average graduation rate for the program was just 38.6%.
The graduation rate of the program costs as much as $155,600 per student, the report states. The average cost of a four-year college education in the United States is $153,080, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
Additionally, once those students move through the program, the study found that they are largely being hired in minimum-wage positions, with participants earning $16,695 annually on average after they leave the program.
Currently, there are approximately fewer than 25,000 students enrolled in the Job Corps program, and participants’ safety is "often at risk."
Officials said there were 14,913 serious incident reports filed in 2023. In 2023, 373 instances of inappropriate sexual behavior and sexual assaults were reported; 1,764 acts of violence were reported; 1,167 breaches of safety or security were reported; 2,702 instances of drug use were reported; and 1,808 hospital visits for students were reported.
They sure were busy.
Trump administration officials told Fox News Digital that the Department of Labor is beginning a phased pause in operations at contractor-operated Job Corp centers nationwide, initiating an orderly transition for students, staff and local communities.

[Regnum] A strong magnetic storm of level close to G3 began on Earth on the morning of Thursday, May 29. This was reported by the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
"A strong magnetic storm of a level close to G3 was registered on Earth this morning. The peak of magnetic field fluctuations occurred between 03:00 and 06:00 Moscow time, " the laboratory's website said.
It is noted that the storm was recorded against the backdrop of a noticeable increase in geomagnetic activity, which became known the day before after the formation of new large coronal holes in the solar atmosphere.
Scientists have clarified that the Earth will remain in a zone of increased solar wind speed until the end of this week, and during this time the risks of storms and geomagnetic disturbances will be increased.
“As of 7-8 am, the situation had stabilized to the level of weak disturbances, but further surges are possible during the day,” the report added.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, on May 26, astronomers from IKI and the Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics (ISPhZ) of the Russian Academy of Sciences predicted a magnetic storm on Earth in the last week of May after powerful solar flares. They warned weather-sensitive people about this.
Geophysicist and leading researcher at the Schmidt Institute of Physics of the Earth of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Zhigalin told Regnum on May 25 that the scale of the highest-class solar flare has been exaggerated in the information space. According to the scientist, it is an ordinary strong flare.
