#4  It seems really strange to me that Congress had to pass a law specifically prohibiting a president from spending money. They shouldn't have to do that. IIUC, Congress must specifically authorize expenditures and the president should not even dream of spending money without such authorization. If he does he should be impeached.

#5  When you have to pass a law prohibiting the executive branch from eliminating people’s ability to cook with natural gas, and you have to garner enough support to override his veto, the country has truly sunk into despotism.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
RNC Maps Path to Pub Victories
[Townhall] The RNC is launching a new effort to beat Biden called Bank Your Vote (BankYourVote.com) that will power Republicans to victory in November. Bank Your Vote is a nationwide campaign focused on maximizing pre-Election Day voting.

Republicans continue to oppose bad laws in the courtroom, but we’ll also play by the rules we’re given. We’re turning the full power of our unmatched political ground game, data operation, legal resources, and messaging apparatus towards Banking Your Vote to chase down every ballot. Not only will we ballot harvest where it’s legal, but we’ll beat the Democrats at their own game.

We cannot afford four more years of Joe Biden. The American people have learned that firsthand as they’ve watched their savings evaporate, felt unsafe in their communities, and seen our border dissolve into chaos. Righting these wrongs and getting back on course will take all of us working together. And it will require Republicans voting early in person, voting absentee, and ballot harvesting where legal to drive up our numbers at the polls.

#2  THis is proof the the RNC doesn't get it. The dems are harvesting ballots of people who wouldn't vote Republicans but wouldn't bother to vote dem either (because they don't bother to vote at all). I'm sure there are some lazy Republican voters out there, but usually, when a pub doesn't vote, it's because they are disgusted with the RNC backed candidate.

#3  The GOP is a mob that funnels money from rich and corrupt people to preferred vendors who make irrelevant robocalls and attack ads. Local candidates are shaken down to use connected pollsters who overcharge and provide little service. Candidates who balk at the shakedown are abandoned. Winning races is only important when the candidate is a club member like Murkowski. The system needs to be totally revamped.

Government Corruption
FBI director Christopher Wray CAVES to the House Oversight Committee as he vows to release document on Biden foreign national bribery charge
[MAIL] The FBI has caved into the House Oversight Committee's demands to release documents that claim Joe Biden was involved in a $5million bribery when he was vice president.

The agreement ends a stand off that began on May 3, when Director Christopher Wray was issued with a subpoena to hand over the document.

Wray had refused to share the unverified document with anyone except the chair of the committee, James Comer, and the ranking Democrat, Jamie Raskin.
Raskin is a known liar, and a Democrat, BIRM
Comer came out from viewing the document and said it was troubling: Raskin said it was nothing.

Comer wanted all members of the committee to be able to see the document, unredacted: Wray refused. On Monday, Comer threatened to hold him in contempt.

But on Wednesday Comer called off the vote on contempt after Wray agreed to allow the full committee to access a redacted file.

Actor known for ‘Bob’s Burgers’ character arrested on US Capitol riot charges
[IsraelTimes] Jay Johnston, who was booted from show after January 6 attack, indicted for pushing against police and helping rioters who attacked officers guarding an entrance

An actor known for his roles on the comedy television shows "Bob’s Burgers" and "Mr. Show with Bob and David" was arrested Wednesday on charges that he joined a mob of Donald Trump
...His ancestors didn't own any slaves...
supporters in confronting coppers during the US Capitol riot, court records show.

Jay Johnston, 54, of Los Angeles, was arrested there on charges including civil disorder, a felony. A federal magistrate judge agreed to free Johnston on $25,000 bond after his initial court appearance in Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,. A public defender who represented him at the hearing declined to comment.

Video footage captured Johnston pushing against police and helping rioters who attacked officers guarding an entrance to the Capitol in a tunnel on the Lower West Terrace, according to an FBI agent’s affidavit. Johnston held a stolen police shield over his head and passed it to other rioters during the attack on Jan. 6, 2021, the affidavit says.

Johnston "was close to the entrance to the tunnel, turned back and signaled for other rioters to come towards the entrance," the agent wrote.

Johnston was the voice of the character Jimmy Pesto on Fox’s "Bob’s Burgers." The Daily Beast reported in December 2021 that Johnston was "banned" from the animated show after the January 6 attack.

Johnston appeared on "Mr. Show with Bob and David," an HBO sketch comedy series that starred Bob Odenkirk and David Cross. His credits also include small parts on the television show "Arrested Development" and in the movie "Anchorman," starring Will Ferrell.

United Airlines records show Johnston booked a round-trip flight from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C., departing on Jan. 4, 2021, and returning a day after the riot, according to the FBI. Thousands of people stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6 after attending then-US President Donald Trump’s "Stop the Steal" rally.

While the mob attacked police in the tunnel with pepper spray and other weapons, Johnston helped other rioters near the tunnel pour water on their faces and then joined in pushing against the line of officers, the FBI says.

"The rioters coordinated the timing of the pushes by yelling ’Heave! Ho!’" the affidavit says.

Three current or former associates of Johnston identified him as a riot suspect from photos that the FBI published online, according to the agent. The FBI said one of those associates provided Sherlocks with a text message in which Johnston acknowledged being at the Capitol on Jan. 6.

"The news has presented it as an attack. It actually wasn’t. Thought it kind of turned into that. It was a mess. Got maced and tear gassed and I found it quite untastic," Johnston wrote, according to the FBI.

More than 1,000 people have been charged with federal crimes for their conduct at the Capitol on a Jan. 6. More than 500 of them have been sentenced, with over half getting terms of imprisonment ranging from seven days to 18 years, according to an News Agency that Dare Not be Named review of court records.

Trump denies indictment reports, calls investigations 'election interference'
[GEO.TV] Former White House adviser Steve Bannon has been subpoenaed to testify before a grand jury investigating the January 6 insurrection.

The subpoena seeks both documents and testimony from Bannon, who previously faced contempt of Congress charges for not cooperating with the congressional January 6 committee.

Meanwhile,
...back at the barn, Bossy had come up with a new idea, one that didn't involve kerosene...
Donald Trump
...His ancestors didn't own any slaves...
has been informed that he is a target of a criminal investigation by the Justice Department. The investigation focuses on Trump's retention of national security materials at his Mar-a-Lago resort and possible obstruction of justice. Trump's lawyers were notified of his target status, which raises the stakes for him.

Taylor Budowich, a former spokesperson for Trump, recently testified before a grand jury in Florida. He was questioned about a statement drafted by Trump claiming that he had returned all materials to the National Archives. The statement was not released as some of Trump's aides doubted its accuracy.

In response to the investigations, Trump strongly criticised the criminal probes into his actions. He referred to them as the "greatest and most vicious instance of election interference" in the country's history. Trump also labeled the federal and state prosecutors as "fascist
...anybody you disagree with, damn them...
s."

Trump denied being informed about any indictment against him, stating that he had done nothing wrong. He made these comments on his Truth Social platform, stressing his belief that he should not be indicted. Trump's statement reflects his opposition to the ongoing investigations.

The investigations surrounding Trump and his associates have heightened tensions. An FBI raid on Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence uncovered classified documents, adding to the scrutiny. Budowich's testimony highlighted his commitment to answering questions honestly and his condemnation of what he viewed as the government's weaponisation.

#4  At this point, the entire project is about keeping Trump out of the White House for a return engagement. IF all they can charge him with is "Being Trump," you can bet that they will, and they will get a judge and jury that will give them a conviction on that, er, trumped-up charge.

#6  Again, I must say the volume of "classified documents" in Washington DC is suspicious to say the very least. Why does our government keep so many secrets from us? Is it really a matter of national security or are the bureaucrats and politicians keeping us in the dark about all the crimes they commit? We pay the taxes that fund all of their operations so why won't they tell us what they're doing with OUR MONEY???

#11  The indictment game of classified "espionage" begins against Trump. They are counting on public ignorance of the nature of classified materials handling to allow much of it to be cloaked from public view, and I suspect a wide-ranging gag order early on in discovery.

This is the stuff of nightmares for patriots!

DeSantis Suspends Mayor From Office Who Was Arrested For Alleged Voter Fraud
[DailyWire] Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis suspended North Miami Beach Democrat Mayor Anthony DeFillipo from office on Monday after he was arrested and charged with multiple felonies for allegedly voting illegally in an election multiple times.

DeFillipo was charged last week with three counts of Election-Unqualified Voter, each a third-degree felony. Each count carries up to 5 years in prison, if convicted.

"Anthony F. DeFillipo II is suspended from the public office, which he now holds, to wit: Mayor of the City of North Miami Beach," DeSantis said in an executive order.

The executive order also prohibits him from "performing any official act, duty, or function of public office; from receiving any pay or allowance; and from being entitled to any of the emoluments or privileges of public office during the period of this suspension, which period shall be from today until a further Executive Order is issued or as otherwise provided by law."

Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle, a Democrat, said during a presser last week that "we believe the evidence shows [DeFillipo] voted illegally three times."

Fernandez Rundle said that DeFillipo had moved out of North Miami Beach to Davie yet he allegedly returned and voted three times in the district that he no longer lived in. She said that cellphone data was used to track where he was on the days that the votes were cast.

CBS News reported that he says that he owns two homes in Davie but that none of those homes are his permanent residence.

"I totally forgot, it was an oversight and I had it fixed immediately when I noticed," DeFillipo told NBC6. "We’re human, we make mistakes."

A resident and a commissioner’s former campaign worker filed a complaint against DeFillipo late last year alleging that he lived in Davie with his wife and not in North Miami Beach, the report said.

At the heart of the issue is how he voted three times in 2022 from an address that he sold in 2021, according to Florida Politics.

#1  His effort at voter fraud was shamefully stupid. It would make a difference if the race came down to a couple of votes, a rare occurrence. His race was not close enough for it to have been mentioned in the article, so he cheated ineffectively for no reason. He also committed the felonies himself. That’s what relatives and campaign staff is for. If you are corrupt, those should be the same people. Based on his total inability to cheat with any type of professionalism and expertise, I would speculate that he is Republican, but the news article didn’t mention his party affiliation five times so my guess is Democrat, a stupid and incompetent one.
