Islamic State's Afghan 'emir' killed in raid, US says
[AA.TR] The leader of ISIS's Afghanistan affiliate was killed in a U.S. raid earlier this week, the Pentagon said Friday.

Abu Sayed, the "emir" of ISIS-Khorasan, was killed July 11 by U.S. forces during a strike on the group's headquarters in Kunar Province
...one of the four N2KL provinces (Nangarhar, Nuristan, Kunar and Laghman). N2KL is the designation used by US and Coalition Forces for the rugged and very violent region opposite Pakistain's Federally Administered Tribal Areas and Northwest Frontier Province. Kunar is the center of the N2KL region. Its population is 95% Pashtun. It is adjacent to Bajaur Agency..
, spokeswoman Dana White said in a statement.

In addition to killing other ISIS-Khorasan members, the raid "will significantly disrupt the terror group's plans to expand its presence in Afghanistan", White said.

"ISIS [ISIS] leaders chose Abu Sayed to lead the group after Afghan and U.S. forces killed the previous ISIS [ISIS]-K leaders - Hafiz Sayed Khan in late July 2016, and Abdul Hasib, in late April of this year," she added, referring to the ISIS in Iraq and Syria, and its Khorasan affiliate.

U.S. forces have been directly involved in anti-ISIS raids in Afghanistan's eastern regions since an offensive in early March with their Afghan counterparts.

The commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan, Gen. John Nicholson, said the operation stands as "another success in our campaign to defeat ISIS [ISIS]-K".

"There is no safe haven for ISIS [ISIS]-K in Afghanistan," he said in a statement. "We will continue until they are annihilated."

The provincial government media office in a statement said the civilians, including five children and two women were kept as captives by the terror group in Haska Mina district.

The statement further added that the civilians managed to escape from the captivity of the terror group as they were kept by the gunnies of the terror group as captives.

It is believed the women and kiddies belonged to a ISIS group member who was killed during the operations, the provincial government said, adding that the ISIS group member had taken his family with him after joining the ISIS ranks.

The provincial government also added that the civilians are currently being kept in the custody of the security forces and investigation is underway in this regard.

The anti-government armed Death Eater groups have not commented regarding the report so far.

This comes as the Afghan forces are busy conducting counter-terrorism and clearance operations in some restive districts of Nangarhar as the ISIS loyalists have been attempting to expand their foothold and activities in certain districts of the during the recent years.

The US forces based in Afghanistan have also stepped up Arclight airstrikes against the anti-government armed gunnies in Afghanistan.

The Arclight airstrikes were increased particularly after the former US administration granted broader role to the US forces to resume counter-terrorism operations, a step that was taken after growing instability in the country, mainly due to the insurgency led by the Taliban

[SHABELLENEWS] A senior Kenyan government official was taken hostage with five other people by suspected Islamist bully boyz who attacked the vehicle they were travelling in on Thursday, a military front man said.

Maryam El Maawy, from Kenya’s ministry of public works, and three of the party were rescued by military personnel ‐ but the driver and another person were killed during the operation.

Military front man Joseph Owuoth, told Rooters the attack by suspected Somalia’s al-Shabaab

bully boyz occurred in the coastal district of Lamu.

The vehicle "rolled and burst into flames during the attack", Owuoth said, adding El Maawy had been taken for medical attention at a hospital and the plan was to airlift her to the capital, Nairobi.

Owuoth said the Islamists had escaped to Boni, a forest in the area where they are believed to have a hideout.

On Monday, the Kenya military said it had launched aerial bombardments on the forest after a string of attacks by suspected bully boyz in the area.

US, Somalia forces raid al-Shabab, kill several
[SHABELLENEWS] United States and Somali military forces raided a rebel-held village in southern Somalia and killed several al-Shabaab
... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda...
fighters early Thursday, a senior Somali intelligence official said, as both countries step up efforts against Africa’s deadliest Islamic krazed killer group.

Somali commandos accompanied by U.S. forces in two helicopters raided two locations, the official said. They included a detention center run by al-Shabaab in Kunya-Barrow village in Lower Shabelle region, and an unknown number of detainees were freed.

Troops engaged a small number of krazed killer fighters, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the press.

There was no immediate comment from the U.S. Africa Command.

The al-Qaeda-linked al-Shabaab said via its Andalus radio arm that its fighters foiled an attempted raid by U.S. and African forces.

Earlier this month, the U.S. military said it carried out an Arclight airstrike against al-Shabaab in Somalia and was assessing the results. The Arclight airstrike followed another last month that the U.S. said killed eight gunnies at a rebel command and logistics camp in the country’s south. Somalia President Mohammed Abdullahi Mohammed said a training camp near Sakow in the Middle Juba region had been destroyed.

Gunmen kill five Egyptian policemen near Cairo
[Al Jazeera] Gunmen ambushed an Egyptian security checkpoint, opening fire on a car and killing five coppers in an area just south of the capital, the state-run MENA news agency and the interior ministry said.

Three gunnies on a cycle of violence attacked police in al-Badrasheen area of Giza province, 30km south of Cairo, killing two officers and three conscripts, the agency said on Friday, citing a security source.

"A police officer who was near the site of the attack exchanged fire with the assailants, forcing them to flee," the ministry statement said.

Attackers stole the weapons and radios of the victims and tried to set fire to the bodies but fled when they saw people gathering nearby, witnesses said.

No group immediately grabbed credit for the attack but Egyptian security forces have been battling the local affiliate of the Islamic State

Top Malian Jihadist Killed as Unrest Intensifies
[AnNahar] The Malian army said Friday it had killed a top jihadist commander operating in the country's troubled central region, following heavy fighting in the north against jihadists and among gangs this week.

Bekaye Sangare, a senior figure in the Macina Brigades,
...an Al Qaeda-linked group active in central Mali...
a group that joined a powerful jihadist alliance formed in March,
...that would be the Group to Support Islam and Moslems, led by Ansar Dine’s Iyag Ag Ghaly...
was killed in the town of Mougna by Mali's National Guard, a military source told AFP.
Good.
Sangare was behind "several attacks in the area against police and customs checkpoints," the same source said, specifically along the mostly non-existent border with Burkina Faso
...The country in west Africa that they put where Upper Volta used to be. Its capital is Oogadooga, or something like that. Its president is currently Blaise Compaoré, who took office in 1987 and will leave office feet first, one way or the other...
on July 8 and 9.

Sangare's death follows the killing of a dozen jihadists this week by joint Malian-French forces in the troubled north, while an attack by Islamists on Malian soldiers dead left three troops dead and five more still missing.

The French army said in a statement Thursday that fighting "took out several Lions of Islam in the Gao-Ansongo region," between July 10 and July 12, requiring helicopter and drone cover.

Elsewhere, non-jihadist gangs faced off in the region of Kidal on Tuesday, violating a ceasefire as they battled for control around the Anefis area, which they have fought over for two years.

Mali's north is controlled in parts by gangs loyal to Bamako and in others by former rebels who want greater autonomy for the region, while the state is absent from much of the territory.

Head of the United Nations
...an idea whose time has gone...
peacekeeping mission in the country Mahamat Saleh Annadif noted that the festivities between the Gatia pro-government group and the former rebels of the Coordination of Movements of Azawad (CMA) took place as a committee aimed at enforcing a peace accord was in session.

Both sides signed a 2015 peace deal aimed at curbing violence in Mali's north, but both have repeatedly violated a ceasefire.

Several of the peace deal's key planks have yet to be fully implemented, while jihadists continue to roam the north and center of the country, despite being ousted from key northern towns by an ongoing French-led military intervention in 2013.

Meanwhile,
...back at the shouting match, Bart was wondering if fisticuffs would be appropriate at this point...
former rebels still control the city of Kidal.

Soddy kop dies in attacks in Qatif

Britain
2 men in London carry out 5 acid attacks in 90 minutes
[DAWN] A teenager was tossed in the calaboose
Book 'im, Mahmoud!
by British police after a spate of acid attacks across northeast London left at least one person with life-changing injuries and critically injured several others, BBC reported.

Metropolitan Police say the 90-minute spree of five attacks began late Thursday. Authorities have appealed to the public for more information on the perpetrators.

Two men on a cycle of violence tossed a noxious substance into the face of a 32-year-old moped driver and then jumped on his vehicle and drove away.

The pattern was repeated.

Police said on Friday that the injuries to one man in his mid-20s are considered to be "life changing."

The assaults come just days after a separate incident in which a man appeared in court accused of throwing acid at an aspiring model and her cousin.

Acid becoming weapon of choice among teens in London amid growing attacks

[FOXNEWS] A horrific wave of acid attacks have overtaken London, leaving victims gruesomely disfigured and suffering life-altering injuries amid a growing trend that's seen the corrosive liquid become the weapon of choice for British attackers.

Two teenagers, 15 and 16, were tossed in the clink
Drop the rod and step away witcher hands up!
Friday following an overnight swath of attacks in which men on mopeds injured several people by tossing a noxious substance in their faces.

At least one victim, a man in his 20s, was left with life-changing injuries, police said.

Similar high-profile attacks have been plaguing the British city in recent months. In one assault, a 25-year-old man is accused of throwing acid at an aspiring model and her cousin as they sat in their car.

The number of reported attacks using corrosive liquids rose from 261 in 2015 to 454 in 2016, London police said. Some appeared to be related to gang activity or the theft of cars and cycle of violences.

Most notably, in April, two people were left partially blinded after acid was sprayed at a crowded east London nightclub. A man has been charged and is awaiting trial.

The use of acid in attacks has even spread to children as young as 12 who have been arming themselves with substances "for self-defense."

Heat Street reported in April that students are using acid because it’s much easier to conceal than a knife, with some even placing the liquid in a water bottle. Gang culture has been blamed for the spike in schools.

"A lot of people ain’t got the heart to stab people," a student told The Sun. "It’s just easier to squirt someone."

In February, a student was arrested for an attack that left two teenagers and a man scalded after they were splashed with acid during a soccer match in east London.

London police chief Cressida Dick said officers were concerned by the increase in the "completely barbaric" attacks.

"We will arrest people, we will enforce the law as we can, and we are working very closely with the (government) to try to see if there is any changes in the law required," she told LBC radio.

The spike in attacks has prompted some politicians to call for restrictions on the sale and carrying of corrosive liquids such as sulfuric acid.

Lets see how much longer this acid throwing fad will last!

Investigators find drugs hidden in cars shipped from Mexico to Lordstown
[WKBN] Police are investigating shipments of drugs hidden in the wheel compartments of new cars, which were shipped to Lordstown.

In all, over 400 pounds of marijuana were seized with a street value of more than $1 million, according to the Portage County Sheriff’s Office.

An investigation by the Sheriff’s Office, as well as the Youngstown Drug Enforcement Agency, is now ongoing to determine who put the drugs in the cars.

The drugs were initially found in a wheel compartment of a Ford Fusion at a Ford dealership in Portage County. They were discovered during a delivery inspection after the car was taken off a transport carrier.

The vehicle was shipped to Lordstown Rail Solutions, where Sherlocks found that 15 Ford Fusions with marijuana inside had been distributed to dealerships -- including some in Columbiana and Mahoning counties. The marijuana was hidden inside packages compressed to resembled a tire.

Sources told WKBN that each car had about 30 pounds of marijuana in it.

According to the Portage County Sheriff’s Office, the cars were manufactured in Mexico and crossed the Mexican border into Arizona on their way to Trumbull County, where they were dropped off at the rail yard.

Youngstown DEA Agent Bob Balzano said this is not uncommon. Earlier this year, drugs were found hidden in cars in Minnesota.

He believes that someone screwed up and was supposed to pick up the drugs before they made their way to area dealerships. Investigators don’t believe the dealerships were involved, and Balzano said those working at the plant in Mexico may not have even been involved.

Cartel Violence Spills into Texas as Gunmen Storm Past U.S. Border Security
[BREITBART] Two cartel gunmen fleeing from a raging gun battle with Mexican authorities ran through U.S. border security measures twice as they crossed into Texas and back; using their vehicle to ram barriers.

The cartel gunmen were able to cross into Eagle Pass through International Bridge #2 by running the security checkpoints. Shortly after they crossed back through a second bridge that was closed at the time. The gunmen used their vehicle to ram security barriers and later ditched it escape on foot.

The violence began overnight near the rural community of Nava, Coahuila, when authorities received information about two gunmen riding in a late model white Toyota Tundra, information provided to Breitbart Texas by Coahuila law enforcement revealed.

State police officers with a special investigative unit spotted the vehicle along Boulevard Carranza near the intersection with Airport Boulevard in the border city of Piedras Negras. Officers tried to pull over the gunmen but were met with gunfire as they sped off–setting off a high-speed chase.

The gunmen were able to reach the main plaza in Piedras Negras, Plaza de Las Culturas, where they once again engaged law enforcement in a short firefight. As they made their way to the International Bridge #2, gunmen rammed their way through other vehicles and barriers as they used the inbound lanes through Mexican Customs to reach the U.S. side of the bridge.

Coahuila state police officers contacted their counterparts in Texas. Before American authorities were able to apprehend the shooters, they made their way to another international bridge, locally known as Bridge 1. While the crossing was closed at the time, the gunmen were able to ram through the security barriers and make their way back into Mexico.

Iraq
1 dead in bombing attack in Ibrahim bin Ali region
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A policeman was killed and another was wounded as a bomb blast targeted their patrol in western Baghdad, a police source said on Friday.

“A bomb planted on the side of the road in Ibrahim bin Ali region, western Baghdad, exploded on Friday targeting a police patrol, which left one personnel killed and another injured,” a source told AlSumaria News.

“Security troops transferred the victim to forensic medicine department and the injured to the hospital for treatment,” the source, who preferred anonymity, said.

Violence in the country has surged further with the emergence of Islamic State Sunni extremist militants who proclaimed an “Islamic Caliphate” in Iraq and Syria in 2014.

More than 700 Iraqis were killed and wounded during the month of June as result of violence and armed conflicts, according to a monthly count by the United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) which excludes security members deaths. Baghdad ranked the second place with 22 deaths and 88 injuries.

Bombings and armed attacks are seen on on almost a daily basis against security members, paramilitary groups and civilians since the Iraqi government launched a wide-scale campaign to retake IS-occupied areas in 2016.

According to observers, IS is believed to constitute a security threat even after the group’s defeat at its main havens across Iraqi provinces.

Diyala Devastation Digest

2 ISIS troops die in gun fight with Iraqi militia

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) Two Islamic State militants were killed in clashes that occurred in northeastern Diyala, the Shia-led paramilitary troops announced.

In a statement on Friday, al-Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Units) said IS fighters attacked a security checkpoint at Imam Wees region, 58 KM northeast of Baqubah, which left two militants killed.

The 110th brigade, according to the statement, targeted IS rest houses in Imam Wees and its vicinity.

On Wednesday, PMUs said six IS militants were killed as a secret meeting for the fighters was shelled in Wadi Thilab region, Naft Khana, northeastern Diyala.

Attacks launched by Islamic State militants against security troops, the pro-government forces and civilians surged over the past few weeks in northeast of Diyala, which urge the Iraqi forces to prevent the militants infiltration between Salahuddin and Kirkuk provinces, especially the regions stretching along Hamreen mountains and Al-Azeem town.

IS holds pivotal regions that link between each of Diyala, Salahuddin and Kirkuk, posing threats to the liberated regions.

PMUs, an alliance of more than 60 mostly Shia militias, are recognized by the government as a national force under the Prime Minister’s command.

In May, news reports quoted sources as saying that the extremist group opened alternative headquarters for its so-called “Nineveh State, “Dijlah State”, “Salahuddin State” and “Diyala State” in Hawija.

4 wounded in bombing attack in Ali Saray

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) Four members of one family were wounded in a bomb blast that occurred northeast of Diyala, a local official from the province said on Friday.

“A bomb exploded near Ali Saray village, leaving four civilians, including three women, from one family wounded,” Raheem Aziz, head of Qurret Tabah provincial council, told AlSumaria News.

“Security troops arrived at the accident spot and transferred the injured to the hospital for treatment,” he added.

Iraqis getting revenge on ISIS militants sparks probe, outcry
[FOXNEWS] A graphic video circulating online purportedly showing Iraqi soldiers in djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
throwing Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
holy warriors to their deaths and then firing at their bodies has sparked an investigation by the Iraqi government and an outcry from human rights

groups.
The heart bleeds... or maybe it was the chili.
The video posted Wednesday shows two purported holy warriors laying on the ground after being tossed from a building, their bodies twitching as they are sprayed with bullets from the rifles of uniformed men.
If you set out to be a merciless soldier of Allah, don't be surprised if other soldiers (of Allah or not) mercilessly shoot your worthless Islamic ass full of holes.
It was posted on the Twitter account of an Iraqi man who routinely publishes dispatches from in and around Mosul ‐ a city that was reclaimed from ISIS by Iraqi forces Monday ‐ Human Rights Watch said. The group said it used satellite imagery to verify that the video was recorded in the Mosul area, but it was not immediately clear when it was filmed.

The Iraqi government said it was investigating the video and that if it is authentic, those responsible would be brought to justice, the BBC reported.

"In the final weeks of the battle for west Mosul, the pervasive attitude that I have observed among armed forces has been of momentum, the desire to get the battle wrapped up as quickly as possible, and a collapse of adherences to the laws of war," Belkis Wille, a senior Iraq researcher at Human Rights Watch, told the BBC.

U.S. Central Command said Monday there are still areas of Mosul that must be cleared of bombs and there are possible ISIS fighters in hiding, but Iraqi forces now "firmly" have control of the city.

Witnesses have been reporting to Human Rights Watch an increasing number of torture incidents and killings of suspected ISIS holy warriors in the Mosul area.

"These reports have been met with congratulations from Baghdad on the victory, only further fostering the feeling of impunity among armed forces in Mosul," Wille told the BBC.

Human Rights Watch said the video of the men being thrown off the building was only one of four posted this week featuring alleged abuses.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Palestinian killed in clashes with IDF near Bethlehem
[IsraelTimes] Army says forces came under assault during arrest operation.

Israeli soldiers rubbed out a Paleostinian during festivities in a West Bank refugee camp south of Jerusalem on Friday morning, officials said.

According to the military, during an arrest raid in the Deheishe refugee camp, outside Bethlehem, Paleostinians began throwing large rocks and bombs at the troops.

In response, the soldiers opened fire "in order to remove the threat," the army said.

According to Paleostinian officials, a resident of the refugee camp was shot and killed. He was identified as 21-year-old Ismail Hamamda by the official Paleostinian Authority news outlet Wafa.

Military officials said they were aware of the Paleostinian reports, but would not comment on their veracity.

No soldiers were reported injured, the army said.

The festivities in Deheishe occurred at approximately the same time as a shooting attack by Paleostinian snuffies near the Temple Mount complex in Jerusalem’s Old City.

Round up: Two officers killed in Jerusalem's holiest site
[FOXNEWS] Two officers were killed in an attack by three Paleostinian assailants near a major Jerusalem holy site Friday, Israel’s police chief said.

Police Chief Roni Alscheich said the coppers died of wounds sustained in the attack. He said three Arab citizens of Israel opened fire on police near a gate of Jerusalem’s Old City.

The assailants were later killed in a shootout at a mosque near Luba Samri, police said.

Mickey Rosenfeld, another police front man, told Rooters that authorities are working to identify the attackers. Police said the attackers were armed with 2 Carl Gustav machine guns and a pistol.

Benjamin Netanyahu says the Moslem-administered sacred compound will be shut Friday for security reasons to make sure there are no weapons there. He says the status quo governing the site "will be preserved."

The holy compound is known to Jews as Temple Mount and to Moslems as Noble Sanctuary. It is the holiest site to Jews and the third holiest in Islam. Since September 2015, Paleostinian attackers have killed 43 Israelis, two visiting Americans and a British tourist.

In that time, Israeli forces have killed more than 254 Paleostinians, most of them said by Israel to be attackers.

Waqf official may have aided Israeli-Arab terrorists in Temple Mount attack — report

[IsraelTimes] Police checking if perpetrators had help from Jordanian group that administers site, Channel 10 says; officers raid Umm al-Fahm homes of shooters, break up mourners’ tent

Israel Police made a number of arrests in the wake of the deadly terror attack at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem on Friday morning, which claimed the lives of two Israeli coppers, and officers were on the hunt for additional suspects who may have helped the three Israeli-Arab perpetrators, police said.

Raids were also conducted on the homes of the terrorists, all from the northern Israeli city of Umm al-Fahm, and a mourners’ tent for the Death Eaters was broken up.

Channel 10 reported Friday that among those detained were at least one official from the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf, the Jordan-based organization that administers the Temple Mount, on suspicion that the shooters received help from inside. The channel said the official was seen on security footage behaving suspiciously.

Police also said they placed in durance vile
Youse'll never take me alive coppers!... [BANG!]... Ow!... I quit!
one person, a 22-year-old from the northern city on suspicion he was directly involved in the attack.

Police have not indicated what kind of assistance they believe the Waqf official provided, though Channel 10 said he may have helped the shooters stash the weapons used in the attack. A gag order was imposed on further aspects of the investigation relating to the Waqf.

Channel 10 noted the situation was complicated by the fact that the custodian group answers to Jordan, not Israel.

Channel 2 news said more vaguely that it was possible that the Death Eaters had received help from inside the compound, and that this was one of the reasons why police had ordered the closure of the area, for the first time in decades, will they carried out security checks.

The terrorists, Muhammad Ahmed Muhammad Jabarin, 29, Muhammad Hamad Abdel Latif Jabarin, 19 and Muhammad Ahmed Mafdal Jabarin, 19, used two Carlo-style submachine guns and a pistol to carry out the attack. One of them also tried to stab an officer after being apprehended.

It was not immediately known how the Death Eaters brought the weapons into the holy site. Moslem visitors to the Temple Mount complex go through a less rigorous security check than non-Moslem visitors who enter through the Mughrabi Bridge.

Jerusalem Police chief Yoram Halevi said Friday that officers were sweeping the Temple Mount, with the help of the Waqf, to look for further weapons.

After attack, Netanyahu said to order reopening of Temple Mt. from Sunday

[IsraelTimes] PM reportedly demanding improved security at holy site following Friday’s shootings, in which 3 Arab-Israelis killed two coppers.

Israel rejected a demand by Jordan Friday evening to immediately reopen the mount after it was shut for security reasons in the wake of the attack.

Head of Israel’s Arab party rejects armed struggle after Old City terror attack

[IsraelTimes] As 3 Arab-Israelis gun down two police officers, Ayman Odeh says Arab struggle is political, must not involve firearms.
That's the joint Arab list put together by campaign consultants sent by President Obama and paid by the State Department. It will be interesting to see how long it holds together without outside help.
Police officers murdered in Temple Mount terror attack laid to rest

[Ynet] Staff Sgt. Maj. Ha'il Satawi and Staff Sgt. Maj. Kamil Shnaan are both laid to rest in their home towns after being murdered in Friday's terror attack at the Temple Mount; Netanyahu: 'This is a sad day in which our brothers from the Druze community pay the heaviest price in our joint mission to defend the security of our country. I salute them and their heroism, and their memory will always be preserved in our hearts.'

Thousands of mourners attended the funerals of Staff Sgt. Maj. Ha'il Satawi, 30, and Staff Sgt. Maj. Kamil Shnaan, 22, of Maghar and Hurfeish, respectively, who were both murdered in a terrorist attack Friday morning at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

Satawi is survived by his three-week-old son, his wife, parents and three brothers.

Numerous government officials attended both funerals, including Police Commissioner Roni Alsheikh, Minister of Public Security Gilad Erdan, Labor Party Chairman Avi Gabbay, Opposition Chairman Yitzhak Herzog, Minister of Education Naftali Bennett and MK Amir Peretz.

Police Commissioner Roni Alsheikh spoke at Satawi's funeral, saying, "Today you shouldn't have been at the Temple Mount, but you switched with a friend who needed help. That is who you were, ready to volunteer for any mission."

Alsheikh continued, saying, "As usual, you were the first to run to the source of the shooting, and unfortunately for us, you found your death with your head held high, you and Kamil. Ha'il, your friends cannot digest the fact that you are not among the living anymore.

"More and more security missions are falling to the police; police who serve on the frontline on a daily basis. You served in the most sensitive place in the world, in order to preserve freedom of worship. There, vile people decided to thwart this right. We will not allow it."

Through tears, Kamil's father, former MK Shachiv Shnaan, said, "I am proud of my son, who is here wrapped in the flag of the country. I saw the reports about the attack and the headlines, and I did not imagine that I was the father of one of the fallen.

"He did not answer his phone and I realized that something had happened. In the name of the people of Israel, I wish these will be the last of the fallen. My heart is also with the Satawi family and I wish a speedy recovery to our brothers, the Kablan family. Enough of the crying and tears. It is my prayer that the rifle is replaced with the flower."

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Syrian Army kills high ranking FSA commander in Daraa
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) targeted a Free Syrian Army
... the more palatable version of the Syrian insurgency, heavily influenced by the Moslem Brüderbund...
(FSA) transport, Wednesday, that was carrying the commander of Regiment 107 in the Dara’a Governorate.

Using a roadside kaboom, the Syrian Arab Army perfectly timed the attack that was to take place along the Sariyah Road in the southern outskirts of Inkhel.

The FSA transport would ultimately get caught by the roadside kabooming, killing the commander of Regiment 107, ’Adnan al-Wadi, and his driver, Ra’ed Najm al-Wadi.

According to a military source in Dara’a, the Syrian Arab Army was able to gather intel regarding al-Wadi’s whereabouts through their large network of spies in the Dara’a Governorate.

Syrian Army 4th Division redeployed from Daraa

[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) elite 42nd Brigade (Ghiath Forces) of the 4th Mechanized Division has been given orders that they are to leave the Dara’a Governorate for the Syrian capital of Damascus.

According to an officer from the unit, the 42nd Brigade will be in Damascus for a short period of time before they are deployed to an imperative front in southern Syria.

The officer added that the 42nd Brigade will likely be deployed to either Beit Jinn near the Golan-Damascus border or to the east Damascus suburbs of ’Ayn Tarma and Jobar.

The 42nd Brigade has been deployed to both of the aforementioned fronts before; however, they were pulled back after the jihadist rebels launched a big offensive inside Dara’a City.

Syrian Army advances in east Damascus suburb after heavy airstrikes
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has once again advanced in the eastern suburbs of Damascus this week, capturing several sites inside the ’Ayn Tarma Triangle.

Backed by heavy Arclight airstrikes from the SyAAF, the Syrian Arab Army’s 105th Brigade of the Elite Republican Guard managed to capture the ’Ayn Tarma Meat Market and several buildings surrounding this after a fierce battle with Faylaq al-Rahman myrmidon.

Meanwhile,
...back at the palazzo, Don Smilzo looked for an avenue of escape. The only window opened a hundred feet above the moat. The nearest of the hired assassins hold a bloody axe.
The window was looking better all the time....

northwest of ’Ayn Tarma, another unit from the 105th Brigade, alongside the Paleostine Liberation Army (PLA) and National Defense Forces (NDF), stormed the myrmidon-held Taybeh District of Jobar, resulting in a series of festivities this morning.

Fierce festivities are still ongoing at several axes in the eastern Damascus today, as the Syrian Arab Army attempts to get the upper-hand in this imperative area near the capital.

Heavyweight battle breaks out between Jihadist foes in Idlib
[ALMASDARNEWS] A fierce battle broke-out between the two largest jihadist forces in Syria, Thursday, as two former allies clashed in the Idlib Governorate time of Killi.

The heavy festivities began when a large Harakat Ahrar al-Sham
...a Syria jihadi group made up of Islamists and salafists, not that there's that much difference, formed into a brigade. They make up the main element of the Islamic Front but they don't profess adoration of al-Qaeda and they've been fighting (mainly for survival) against the Islamic State. Their leadership was wiped out at a single blow by a suicide kaboom at a crowded basement meeting in September, 2014...
convoy began moving towards a Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham base in Killi; this resulted in the latter opening fire on the former on Thursday.

According to opposition activists, festivities have died down since Thursday evening; however, civilians were maimed during the jihadist infighting.

Tensions have been high in the Idlib Governorate between these former allies, as Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham’s aggression has forced Harakat Ahrar al-Sham to fortify many areas in anticipation of a large attack by the al-Qaeda affiliate.

Entire might of Syrian airpower delivered unto ISIS
[ALMASDARNEWS] Today the entire might of the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) was deployed against ISIS throughout Syria. From Hama, to Homs, to Raqqa and Deir Ezzor, the SyAAF mustered every airworthy warplane in its arsenal, loaded them up with bombs, rockets, cannon rounds and missiles and unleashed it upon the terrorist group.

The recent ceasefire established between the United States and Russia in southern Syria has, for the time being, made it possible for the SyAAF to employ all of its combat aviation against the forces of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
Airstrikes by the SyAAF were observed in the eastern Hama countyside (including Abu Hanaya and Salbah), the countryside of eastern Homs (namely Hamimah), rural Raqqa (with bombing reported in al-Shajeri, Khirbet Halul and al-Zamlah) and, finally, the area in and around the strategic city of Deir Ezzor (including al-Kannamat, Huwyjat Saqr and the military airport surroundings).

According to a military source exclusive to al-Masdar News, the Arclight airstrikes led to the death of dozens of ISIS fighters, the destruction of several armored vehicles and Toyota pickups fitted with heavy weapons, scores of artillery pieces and countless trenches.

Most importantly, today was not a one-off. Unfortunately for the terrorist group, as long as the ceasefire remains in effect, it can expect to receive the exact same degree of punishment from above for many more days to come.

Tiger Forces scythe through ISIS lines in Raqqa en-route to Sukhnah -- Map update
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) elite Tiger Forces, backed up by various paramilitary allies, continue to slice through ISIS lines south of Resafa, capturing the town of Khirbet al-Halul and the Kader oil field today.

These latest advances have put the Tiger Forces approximately 5 kilometers away from the town of al-Fahda and its oil field, 11 kilometers away from entering Homs Governonate via Raqqa Governonate, 20 kilometers away from the town of al-Kom and its local lake area and 60 kilometers away from the strategic town of al-Sukhnah.

According to military sources, the Tiger Forces are working on securing the area southeast of Resafa towards the town of al-Zamleh and the highly-strategic Ramilan B’ir area. By accomplishing this specific advance, the SAA would secure the eastern flank of its push towards al-Sukhnah from ISIS counter-attacks.
